Crime Prevention

Crime prevention is a primary duty for the Auburn Police Department, and for the Auburn community. Some of the Police Department's crime prevention programs are:

School Resource Officer


Officer Joe Almeida is assigned full time to the Auburn schools with a concentration at the Placer High School, providing hands-on guidance and expertise to the special needs of PHS students.

Crime Reports


Crime data from the Auburn Police Department’s computer system is automatically published to an online, interactive map. Citizens can also sign up to receive customized daily, weekly, or monthly updates on any number of crime types. This is a free service offered by the department.
