Permits

The Building Department provides permits both for commercial and industrial, as well as residential construction.

Commercial and/or Industrial Construction Permit

To apply for a commercial and/or industrial building permit:

• Review the commercial and industrial permit procedures

• Review the following fee schedules:

  • Facilities and Equipment Improvement Fee

  • Placer County Facilities Impact Fee

  • School Fees

• For new construction, complete and return the Permit for New Construction application. For tenant improvement, complete and return the Supplemental Permit application.

Residential Construction Permit

To apply for a residential construction permit:

• Review the residential permit procedures

• For improvements, review the Residence Remodeling and Addition Form and Information and Tenant Improvement Information

• Review the following fee schedules:

  • Residential Fee Schedule

  • Facilities and Equipment Improvement Fee

  • Placer County Facilities Impact Fee

  • School Fees
    
    

• For new construction, complete and return the Permit for New Construction application. For residential addition or remodel, complete and return the Supplemental Permit application.
