Auburn General Plan

The City of Auburn General Plan sets forth the goals and policies that will guide future growth in the Auburn area. The General Plan will be used by City staff and City decision makers to review new development in order to ensure that future development will contribute to retaining and improving the character of Auburn as a unique and readily identifiable foothill community.

The General Plan is organized into eight "chapters" referred to as Elements. The most current versions of each Element may be accessed via the link in the box to the right. A complete copy of the Auburn General Plan is available for review in the Auburn Community Development Department.

General Plan EIR

The City has also published an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Auburn General Plan. The EIR was prepared in conjunction with the 1992-2012 comprehensive 1992-2012 General Plan Update.
