HISTORIC DESIGN REVIEW GUIDELINES

Welcome to the City of Auburn’s webpage for information relating to the City’s Historic Design Review Guidelines. The Historic Design Review Guidelines apply to the Old Town and Downtown Historic Design Review Districts. The Historic Design Review Guidelines have been prepared for use by property owners undertaking rehabilitation, renovation, and new construction projects; for business owners engaging in storefront improvements; for city officials, staff, and the Historic Design Review Commission involved in reviewing development applications; and for the general public interested in furthering their understanding of the fundamental design characteristics that make up the historic character of the Old Town and Downtown.
