
The mission of the Community Development Department (CDD) is to protect, enhance, and expand Auburn's physical, environmental, economic, and historic assets, and to improve and expand its supply of affordable housing. The CDD is responsible for:
Current and long range planning
Economic development and redevelopment
Any person considering developing land within the city
may request an initial review of the proposed development and an explanation
of applicable code requirements for zoning, subdivision, site plan approval,
and building permits. This exchange can either be through a formal written
application or via an informal meeting with appropriate city staff.
Questions regarding affordable housing programs in the City of Auburn
can be directed to the Community Development Department. Additional information
