
The City Manager is appointed by the City Council and is the chief administrative officer of the City of Auburn. It is the responsibility of the City Manager to:
Implement City Council policy decisions
Act as an advisor to the City Council
Act as the director of the city's redevelopment agency
Coordinate the development of the annual operating budget
Manage land leases for a portion of the Airport Industrial Park
Monitor and stimulate the city's economic vitality
Appoint city department heads and supervise all department operations
Serve as staff to city's Economic Development Commission
Coordinate the Sidewalk Replacement Program grant
Respond to the needs of City Council, the business community, and city residents
