Crime Prevention

Crime prevention is a primary duty for the Auburn Police Department, and for the Auburn community. Some of the Police Department's crime prevention programs are:

  • Chaplaincy — Our community receives many needed services from the Placer County Chaplaincy Program, directed by Chaplain Terry Morgan
  • Megan's Law
  • National Night Out
  • Night Watch
  • SRO — Officer Gary Hopping is assigned full time to the Placer High School (PHS) campus, providing hands-on guidance and expertise to the special needs of PHS students
  • Volunteers — Volunteers help our department with their hands and their hearts. If you would like to become a volunteer, please contact:
