The Industry 2012 Committee is made up of community volunteers who will be meeting regularly to plan Auburn Industry 2012.
On October 12, 2012 Placer County, The City of Auburn, and the Auburn Chamber of Commerce are staging an "Auburn Industry 2012" event at the Auburn Airport to showcase the Airport and the adjacent Business Park. This event will feature a panel of successful business owners and why they chose Auburn Airport for location or expansion and also feature available properties for sale or lease. Tours of the Airport and its industries will be conducted.
The morning breakfast will be a speakers panel showcasing a few of our prized businesses owners and their success explaining the reason they choose to relocate or start their business at the Auburn Airport Business Park.
The keynote speaker for lunch will be Kelly Brothers, award winning Sacramento news anchor and a principal partner in investment firm Genovese, Burford & Brothers. Mr. Brothers will be presenting an entertaining and informative talk on the economy with humor, movie clips and other surprises. Also presenting will be Barbara Hayes from the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO) to update the audience on the NEXT Economy Capitol Region Prosperity Plan and trends on the activity of new businesses moving to our region.
Some proceeds for this event will go toward the completion of an Airport Entrance sign at Highway 49 and Locksley Lane.
