Used Paint

California's PaintCare Program is a result of Assembly Bill 1343 (Huffman), passed in 2010. California is the second state in the U.S. to enact industry-supported, paint stewardship legislation. The legislation is further clarified through regulations. This model legislation ensures environmentally-responsible management for postconsumer (leftover) architectural paint and relieves local and state governments of the economic burden of postconsumer paint management. California's PaintCare Program began October 19, 2012.

If you have leftover paint that you want to dispose of, there are several retail locations in Auburn that will take your paint and recycle it at no cost to you. Its is highly recommended that you contact the specific retail store prior to driving to the location to verify the specific quantity limits, as they may vary
