City of Auburn Public Works operates Auburn Transit. Auburn Transit is a deviated fixed route service that operates within the City of Auburn and portions of unincorporated Placer County.

Hours of Operation are:
Monday through Friday 6 am - 6:30 pm
Saturday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Auburn Transit does not operate on Sundays

Auburn Transit connects with Placer County Transit, Capital Corridor Train, Gold Country Stage at the Auburn - Conheim Multimodal Station.

Summer Youth Bus Pass available for purchase from an Auburn Transit Bus Driver or at Auburn City Hall

• Bus Passes may be purchased at Auburn City Hall located at: 1225 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA or on all Auburn Transit buses


• Fare covers one-way trip


• Please have exact fare, as drivers do not have change


• Buses are compliant with A.D.A requirements


• Limited Service Hours are generally a Saturday Service but please call (530) 823-4172 or (530) 823-4211 extension 145 to verify limited service hours.
