As part of the City of Auburn’s effort to protect staff and the public, all Building Department operations have been reduced to Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. All permit applications, payments, and inspection activities are limited to Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays only. Permit applications will only be received via US Mail, via Email, or via the new Permit Processing Station at City Hall. Interior inspections of minor projects that are not essential or time sensitive may be delayed or postponed indefinitely. Examples of inspections that are not essential or time sensitive include but may not be limited to: Water Heater, HVAC, interior water line upgrades, windows, etc. This will result in delays to normal Building Permit processes. Despite this challenge City staff will do our best to help residents and businesses complete their projects in a timely and code-compliant manner.
