Transparency in Government

We believe trust begins with transparency. Our city is committed to open and accountable government by providing easy access to public records, meetings, budgets, and decision-making processes. Here, residents can stay informed, get involved, and see how we’re working every day to serve our community.

The Political Reform Act (Gov. Code Sections 81000-91014) requires most state and local government officials and employees to publicly disclose their personal assets and income. The eRetrieval Portal enables you to search for and review this financial information. The City of Auburn is pleased to offer Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests Disclosure Statements available via the web, free of charge via SouthTech Systems’ eRetrieval™. eRetrieval™ offers simplistic, yet comprehensive search functions in order to provide members of the public with redacted copies of Form 700 Disclosure Statements filed with the City of Auburn electronically, 24/7, from the comfort of your own desktop or mobile device!

The City is focused on providing accurate and transparent financial data to the public and utilizes the ClearGov platform as a mechanism to share data in meaningful reports. Click to visit ClearGov.

The City is committed to transparency by providing public access to department director contracts, employee salary information, and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with labor unions. These resources help ensure accountability and keep our community informed about how public funds are managed.

At times, the City of Auburn posts public notices about matters that are of interest to the residents of Auburn.
