Police Department Homeless/Transient Efforts

Our Community Action Team (CAT), along with Placer County Probation and the Placer County Health and Human Services, works hard to address the community's concerns of homelessness and transients. The team is a part-time team that uses information obtained from the community and city staff to identify areas where we need to focus our attention, such as camp locations, top offenders, and trespassing).

​CAT is typically conducting operations twice a week. The days and times vary depending on the information we are receiving. We will use the information to strategize when and where are team should focus their efforts.
