How to Obtain an Inspection:
Auburn Fire Department Inspection: Request an inspection directly from the Auburn Fire Department. After paying the inspection fee, the Fire Department will perform the inspection and provide the property owner or authorized agent with a compliance report.
Third-Party Inspection: Hire a qualified third party to inspect the property and provide a compliance report, which must be submitted to the Fire Department within 30 days or before the property transfer, whichever is sooner. If the Fire Department finds the third-party inspection insufficient, they may conduct their own inspection at an additional cost.
For more information or to schedule an inspection, contact the Auburn Fire Department at prevention@auburn.ca.gov or (530) 823-4211 ext. 182.
